Three ways in: app, browser, your own system
The Beckon app is the standard route: your user is carrying their phone anyway, taps once, and the door opens in 0.4 seconds. Beckon Web covers everything short-notice - day guests on an online pass, the contractor, the visitor: the door opens straight in the browser, with no app install and no account.
The Beckon API is the route for other applications. Your own system creates users, grants and revokes permissions and reads back who came in when - REST calls with an access token we set up for you. The opening itself then happens on one of the other two paths, because all three rest on the same permission: whatever you grant or revoke in the portal applies to every one of them at once.

The key nobody leaves at home
The user pairs their smartphone via an activation link from email or SMS - and the phone is the new key. No appointment, no face-to-face, no card for anyone to encode. Opening takes 0.4 seconds, revoking takes just as long.
From there the Beckon app is the heart of it: your users open nearby doors and gates with a single tap - super fast, in real time. The same app delivers messages, interactive info pages and every action you enable.

A QR code on the door. Onboarding needs nothing more.
For everyone serving day guests and walk-ins: you generate the QR code in the portal and put it on the door, on the flyer or on your homepage. Whoever scans it pays on the phone right away and has their pass in the same minute - the door opens with Beckon Web straight in the browser. No app install, no account, no form at the front desk. Which passes exist and how long they last is yours to define, the permission ends on its own.
The online pass is a standard feature of Beckon Access: it is there from the start and carries no monthly surcharge. You are billed by usage - 1 € per pass issued, per month. What that comes to for you is yours to slide together in the price calculator below.

Management systems
Beckon works with the system you already run
Your management system leads, Beckon follows. When a member is created, changed, suspended or deleted, it takes effect in Beckon at once, as soon as your system reports it by webhook - the permission at the door is right in the same minute. Contracts, cancellations, access restrictions and payments all have a say: if a contract runs out or a direct debit bounces, Beckon locks the member out; once things are in order again, the permission holds again. An hourly reconciliation catches whatever raises no report.
The other way around, Beckon reports every door access back as a check-in, so your reporting stays complete. The opening itself is still done by the member, with the Beckon app - the synchronisation decides the permission, not the door. Your existing members come across once. Devices arrive pre-configured; we coordinate the installation with your local electrician or locksmith. Initial setup and training happen in a scheduled video call with a live configuration of your system - all included, and so is the support afterwards.

Fair questions, straight answers
What does Beckon really cost?
The software costs 0,40 € down to 0,05 € per user per month (net) - the bigger your operation, the cheaper the tier, no minimum quantity, adjustable every month. There is nothing to add on: the full feature set is included in every plan. The online pass is a standard feature and carries no monthly surcharge - you only pay for what you use, 1 € per pass per month. Hardware is 999 € one-time per entrance plus connectivity (20 € monthly with LTE incl. SIM card, 10 € with WiFi) and 499 € installation plus call-out charge. Can I try Beckon for free?
Yes. Registration in the management portal is free and non-binding - look around and put your package together at your own pace. Costs only start once you take your first location live with a plan and hardware - and even then with no minimum term.
Do I need a network or IT on site?
No. Beckon devices are IoT devices with embedded internet connectivity via 4G/LTE or WiFi, SIM card included - completely independent of your local infrastructure. They connect any gate or door lock system in various configurations, ship pre-configured, and we coordinate the installation with your local electrician or locksmith.
How fast are new users ready to go?
Faster than at any front desk: create the user in the portal or take them over from your management system, activation link by email or text message, pair the smartphone - done. Beckon offers the fastest onboarding procedure, which makes it the best fit for environments with high turnover. For visitors you grant time-limited access straight from the portal.
What happens when the internet goes down?
Your Beckon was built to be failsafe. Closed-loop communication with automatic gateway operation tolerates connectivity faults, and local endpoint communication is one-way only by technological design - maximum security with full responsiveness. Embedded heartbeat monitoring detects faults and can trigger an electrical restart automatically.
Can Beckon integrate with my existing systems?
Yes, in both directions. The Beckon API lets external systems drive full automation towards Beckon - create users, grant and revoke permissions, read out access records, real-time webhooks included. The other way around, Beckon synchronises with your management system - with Magicline, VirtuaGym and Beckon Gym: members, contracts, access restrictions and payments come in and decide the permission, and every door access goes back as a check-in. You can also use Beckon to extend existing entrance solutions.
